Why?

what are the difficulties the human encounters
when he wants to turn towards God?

Thse questions are answered here:

Then the author tells that the Grace helped him to survive the
obstacles and the Divine Grace also helped him to turn to the right path
and how it nurtures him like a Mother

and then sings in praise of the LORD by a big list of “போற்றீ”

நான்முகன் முதலா(ன) வானவர் தொழுது எழ
ஈர் (2) அடியாலே மூவுலகு அளந்து
நால்(4) திசை முனிவரும் ஐம்புலன் மலரப்
போற்றி செய் கதிர்முடித் திருநெடுமால் அன்று
அடிமுடி அறியும் ஆதரவு அதனில் (for that reason)
கடும் முரண் ஏனம் ஆகிமுன் கலந்து (becomes a speedy mighty boar)
ஏழ்தலம் உருவ இடந்து பின் எய்த்து (7 உலகங்களும் தோண்டி பின் இளைத்து)
ஊழி முதல்வா! சயசய என்று
வழுத்தியும் காணா மலர்அடி இணைகள் (could n’t see the Holy Feet despite the praise)

 

(here the Manicka vasagar tells the difficulties a person encounters to get born in
this world)

வழுத்துதற்கு எளிதாய் வார் கடல் உலகினில் ( in this world)
யானை முதலா எறும்பு ஈறாய
ஊனம் இல் யோனியின் உள்வினை பிழைத்தும் (escape from lesser births)
மானுடப் பிறப்பினுள் மாதா உதரத்து ( suceeding inside a mother’s womb)
ஈனம் இல் கிருமிச் செருவினில் பிழைத்தும் ( again inside womb escaping from bacterial infections)
ஒரு மதித் தான்றியின் இருமையில் பிழைத்தும்
(In one month becoming like a small Tanrikkai and escaping from it splitting into two ( twins etc)
இருமதி விளைவின் ஒருமையில் பிழைத்தும் (escaping from 2nd month disturbances)
மும்மதி தன்னுள் அம்மதம் பிழைத்தும் (escaping in 3rd month from Mother’s excess water)
ஈர் இரு திங்களில் பேர் இருள் பிழைத்தும் (esc. 4th month from the darkness aring out of water)
அஞ்சு திங்களில் முஞ்சுதல் பிழைத்தும் (esc 5th month untimely death)

தக்க தசமதி தாயொடு தான்படும் (at 10th month both mother and baby suffers for a healthy parting)
துக்க சாகரம் துயர் இடைப்பிழைத்தும்
ஆண்டுகள் தோறும் அடைந்த அக்காலை (பூமியிற்பிறந்த பின்பு, வளர்ச்சியடையும் வருடங்கள்தோறும்
ஈண்டியும் இருத்தியும் எனைப்பல பிழைத்தும் (escaping from punishments from elders)
காலை மலமொடு கடும்பகல் பசி நிசி (esc from prob reg morning desembowelment onwards, noon hunger,

கூர்த்த நயனக் கொள்ளையில் பிழைத்தும் (escaping from the guiles of women)
பித்த உலகர் பெரும் துறைப் பரப்பினுள் ( risks relating to this Big World, like)
மத்தம் களிறு எனும் அவாவிடைப் பிழைத்தும் ( esc from a Mad elephant called DESIRE)
கல்வி என்னும் பல்கடல் பிழைத்தும் ( esc from the big boundless Sea called EDUCATION)
செல்வம் என்னும் அல்லலில் பிழைத்தும் (esc from the troubles of WEALTH PURSUIT)

தெய்வம் என்பதோர் சித்தம் உண்டாகி (AFTER ESCAPING FROM ALL, when i realise that there IS GOD)
முனிவு இலாதது ஓர் பொருள் அது கருதலும் ( and think about the ways to go in that Puruit)
ஆறு கோடி மாயா சக்திகள் ( 6 crores of Maya sakthis)
வேறு வேறு தம் மாயைகள் தொடங்கின (Had begun to unleash their Powers upon me)

ஆத்தம் ஆனார் அயலவர் கூடி (friends and strangers gathered to brainwash me with
நாத்திகம் பேசி நாத்தழும்பு ஏறினர் ( repeated Atheistic ideas)
சுற்றம் என்னும் தொல்பசுக் குழாங்கள் ( relatives entreated me not to abandon them)
பற்றி அழைத்துப் பதறினர் பெருகவும்
விரதமே பரம் ஆக வேதியரும் ( learned brahmins remonstrated that Homams and Yagnas)

சரதம் ஆகவே சாத்திரம் காட்டினர் ( are the duties of Man and showed shastras to support it)
சமய வாதிகள் தம்தம் தங்களே ( religeous heads entreated that their’s is the Best Religion)
அமைவது ஆக அரற்றி மலைந்தனர்
மிண்டிய மாயா வாதம் என்னும் (concepts like :World is maya” tossed me like tornado
சண்ட மாருதம் சுழிந்து அடித்துத் தாஅர்த்து
உலோகாய தமெனும் ஒள் திறப்பாம்பின் (oncept like “this World is to enjoy” and other disciplines
கலா பேதத்த கடுவிடம் எய்தி (like arts and science and literature poisoned me like venom)
அதில் பெருமாயை எனைப்பல சூழவும் ( all these things surrounded me to confuse me)
தப்பாமே தாம் பிடித்தது சலியாத் But the Divine Grace with a great reolve, protected me against the above
தழலது கண்ட மெழுகு அது போலத் (The Grace melted me like fire upon wax)

தொழுது உளம் உருகி அழுது உடல்கம்பித்து ( and made me to to pray., to yearn, and
ஆடியும் அலறியும் பாடியும் பரவியும் ( to dance, sing,
கொடிறும் பேதையும் கொண்டது விடாதென (and caught me like a demon pursuing a damsel and never allowed me to leave His Grace)
படியே ஆகி நல் இடைஅறா அன்பின்
பசுமரத்து ஆணி அறைந்தால் போலக்
கசிவது பெருகிக் கடல் என மறுகி
அகம் குழைந்து அனுகுலமாய் மெய் விதிர்த்துச்
சகம் பேய் என்று தம்மைச் சிரிப்ப (it made the world to laugh at me (at my Divine Madness)
நாண் அது ஒழிந்து நாடவர் பழித்துரை ( it made me to cast away my shyness and made me to accept
பூண் அது ஆகக் கோணுதல் இன்றிச் 70 ( their ridicules in its stride)

சதுர் இழந்து அறிமால் கொண்டு சாரும் ( it made me to stick to this சிவஞானம்)
கதியது பரமா அதிசயம் ஆகக்
கற்றா மனம் எனக் கதறியும் பதறியும் ( It made me to cry like a cow for HisGrace)
மற்று ஓர் தெய்வம் கனவிலும் நினையாது it made me never to think about any other thing /God
அருபரத்து ஒருவன் அவனியில் வந்து ( God himself came as a Guru in front of me)
குருபரன் ஆகி அருளிய பெருமையைச்
சிறுமை என்று இகழாதே திருவடி இணையைப்
பிறிவினை அறியா நிழல் அது போல
முன் பின்னாகி முனியாது அத்திசை
என்பு நைந்து உருகி நெக்கு நெக்கு ஏங்கி ( and as a result, lot of changes happend to me like)

அன்பு எனும் ஆறு கரை அது புரள
நன்புலன் ஒன்றி நாத என்று அரற்றி
உரை தடுமாறி உரோமம் சிலிர்ப்ப
கரமலர் மொட்டித்து இருதயம் மலரக்
கண்களி கூர நுண் துளி அரும்ப (His Grace made me to undergo all these changes and
சாயா அன்பினை நாள்தொரும் தழைப்பவர் ( he took care of my growth like a Mother)
தாயே ஆகி வளர்த்தனை போற்றி Hail to that Mother who protects me like that
